(Incorporating The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000)

The following returns procedure relates to the return of both defective and non-defective products by consumers (not businesses or trade sales). The procedure, whilst not wholly obligatory in relation to defective products, does allow returns to be dealt with in a consistent, speedy and effective manner.

In order to help speed up the return process, and provide the most efficient service for our customers, please request a valid Returns Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. This can be done via email, via telephone (0845 0940654), or via post by writing to:

Returned items will take up to 2 weeks to be processed once the item has been delivered into our returns department.

When returning the item Stagemic recommends that all items are sent by a recorded method of post (Royal Mail Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery), so you can provide a "proof of delivery" and that all items are insured up to the correct amount. Stagemic will not be liable for any items damaged or lost in transit. All cost for shipping back to Starlight Theatre Systems will be covered by the customer.

  • Once a RMA number has been issued the item must be returned to Stagemic within 2 weeks of this issue date.
  • When the item is returned the valid RMA Number must be included with the package.
  • Any item sent back to Stagemic must be in its original unmarked packaging, with all original boxes, manuals, cables, software, blank warranty cards, packing, accessories and manufactures literature.
  • All returns must accompanied by a valid returns form that is correctly filled in and signed.

Non-Defective Products - Factory Sealed:

  • Must be returned within 7 working days of receipt of the goods (For further guidance please refer to The Consumer Protection Regulations 2000, detailed below on this page.)
  • Customer shall pay return shipping costs.

Defective Products:

  • Must be returned as soon as is practicable and reasonable after the delivery date.
  • If you request a direct replacement, please allow up to 3 weeks before you receive your goods.
  • If you require an immediate replacement then we recommend you request a refund and re-order the product on-line. The new product will arrive in the usual time and the credit will be refunded onto your credit/debit card within 3 weeks (If all the above faulty criteria are met).
  • Due to the amount of varied components available today, Stagemic is unable to guarantee compatibility between items sold and already possessed by the customer. Therefore returns found to be incompatible may incur a handling charge.
  • Individual components found not to be defective will incur a £10 (+ VAT) handling charge and will be returned to the customer at their cost, (return shipping + packaging costs will also be applied dependant on physical weight and condition of packaging).
  • All physically damaged items will be rejected and returned to the customer at their cost Items may be replaced by equivalents if the originals are not available.

The Consumer Protection Regulations 2000

This regulation gives private customers (not businesses) the opportunity to cancel an order, known as a 'cooling off period' If you have received goods and simply do not want them any more you can have full credit for the item(s) without a restocking fee, subject to the following conditions:

a) The item(s) is returned to us in the same 'as new' condition as it was delivered (cost may be applied to return the item to an 'as new'  condition).
b) You inform us in writing (email, fax or post) within 7 days from receipt of product that you wish to cancel the order(s).
c) The goods have not been made for the customers' specification or personalised by the customer. (An example of this is a customised PC).
d) The goods are not software which is unsealed.
e) The goods have not been worn upon your person, such as headphones, and are thus non-returnable for reasons of personal hygiene.
f) You pay for the return delivery / courier costs and are responsible for the safe and undamaged return of the goods.
g) Goods are return as soon as possible from the issue date of a RMA number so a credit can be raised within 30 days.
h) Goods must be rsealed in their original unmarked packaging, complete with all original boxes, manuals, cables, software, blank warranty cards, packing, accessories and manufactures literature.

Business customers will be dealt with by our standard terms and conditions.
